Guest Lecture by Prosecutor Brenda Hollis of SCSL

brenda hollis RLS is privileged to host Ms Brenda Hollis, the Prosecutor of the Special Court for  Sierra Leone, for a guest lecture to be held on Monday February 3, 2014 at 10:30 am.  The venue of the lecture will be the Main  University Building, Ground Floor Room  G.15.

Ms Brenda Hollis is the Prosecutor of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL). She  was appointed in 2010 to the position by the Secretary General of the United Nations  Ban Ki-Moon after a successful career as the lead prosecuting counsel against former Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic (among other cases) at the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY). She also worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR). The height of her work at the SCSL was the historical conviction of former president of Liberia Charles Taylor who has since been sentenced to serve 50 years in prison for planning and directing atrocities in Sierra Leone in the 1990s. Click to read more about Ms Brenda Hollis.
