Monthly Innovation Forum

The Riara school of computing sciences September monthly innovation forum took place on 29th September 2022 where guests from Shehacks Kenya engaged the students on “Preparing for a career in cyber security”. Shehacks Ke is a community of women in cyber security from various backgrounds and counties across Kenya that brings together learners and experts. The guests Nancy Muriithi (Security Consultant Silencesec and Program lead SheHAcks) and Laura Tich (founder of Shehacks Kenya) shared their journey in the tech world and highlighted key points that the students should start implementing to successfully have a career in cyber security. They also promised to be holding cyber security practical boot camps at the university every semester.
