Kiarie Mwaura, VC.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Riara university and MIPA signed a MOU in\u00a0order to offer a 1-year Certificate\/2-year Diploma course in Music and Music Business. The program will be targeting musicians between 18 and 35 who have or would like to pursue a professional career in the music industry. We aim to equip them with professional skills and business knowledge as well as technical skills needed in order to sustain a successful career in the highly competitive music industry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Together, Riara University and MIPA will provide technical skills and proficiency training, develop instructional materials,\u00a0conduct training, workshops, performing events, research and consultancy; and\u00a0 generally\u00a0promote and carry on the work of a Performing Arts Institute.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Individuals who would like to join the\u00a0program are required to pass a highly competitive round of auditions that are taking place later this year and early 2015.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Left to right: Prof. Faith Nguru, DVC RU, Ms Alice Kande , Lecture at RU School of Business, Ms. Suzanne Gachukia MIPA Director, Ms. Vivianne Ngugi, MIPA Director, Mr. Charles Kirui, Senior Marketing Officer, Ms. Natalie Lukkenaer , MIPA Director and Prf.
